Brazilian prices for chicken meat and pork, both traded in the Greater São Paulo, moved up in the partial of June in relation to the previous month, according to a recent market report from Cepea.

However, price increases were more significant for pork. As for beef, also traded in the Greater SP, values decreased in the same period. Thus, chicken meat has gained competitiveness compared to pork, but it has lost it against beef.

The average price for chicken meat increased due to the higher purchase power, which is typical at the beginning of every month, due to the payment of salaries.
