Belgian poultry farmers need to confine their birds from Saturday to prevent outbreaks of avian influenza, Reuters reported, citing the government on Friday.

Belgium has not seen recent outbreaks of bird flu, but they have been reported in neighbours the Netherlands, Germany and France.
