Held in the city of Doboj, the workshop provided a platform for knowledge sharing and professional development, with participants actively engaging in discussions and exchanging insights. The event was led by renowned incubation and breeder expert, Dr. Ron Meijerhof, and supported by James Truscott, Director of Cobb Germany, who opened the workshop by welcoming attendees and highlighting the latest advancements in Cobb’s products and services.
The first day of the workshop focused on breeder management. Dr. Meijerhof delivered comprehensive presentations on male and female breeder management, optimal breeder house design and layout, and best practices for handling hatching eggs before incubation. Dr. Meijerhof also delved into the intricate comparison between natural incubation by hens and modern incubation technology, drawing lessons from 65 million years of avian evolution.
The event underscored the importance of direct interaction and practical learning. Jasmina Atlic, owner of Iradia, emphasized the value of the workshop, stating: “The longevity and growing interest in this event demonstrate the importance of direct engagement and knowledge exchange within our industry.”
