Norwegian Farmers Block Egg Distribution
NORWAY - Norwegian farmers have begun a blockade of the distribution of eggs to the nation's grocery stores, in protest against the Government's offer of farm subsidies for next year.Distribution from all the nine egg packaging plants across the country has been stopped, according to The Norway Post.
The Government has offered the farmers an increase of NOK 150 million, an offer the farmers call "shameful", and which is only ten per cent of what the farmers had asked for.
